Defending champion KRL scored a record eight goals in the sixth round against Muslim FC, unbeaten in the 13th Pakistan Premier League and finished second with a better goal average of 12 points. Muslim FC for the first time entered the country’s biggest event in 2011-12 and finished with sixth position. In the two matches played against KRL in the 2012-13 season, he won 1-0 and the other Lost by 1-4. The two matches between the two teams played in 2014-15 ended in a 0-0 and 1-1 draw. In the 2015 season, the first match ended in a 0-0 draw but the second match was lost 1-2. The shocking 8-0 defeat against KRL could not be imagined as they had won 3 of their 4 matches. They defeated Navy 1-0, Karachi United 3-2 and Pakistan Army 1-0 while they lost 1-2 against Southern Gas.

In the fifth match, KRL took a 3-0 lead at the break through Alamgir Khan, Imran Khan and Waqar Ehtesham. After the break, it added 5 more goals. Abdul Qadeer scored 2, Imran Khan, Ali Agha and Iftikhar Ali one goal apiece. Alamgir Khan became the joint top scorer with Ahmed Fahim (Pakistan WAPDA) with 6 goals. But the record for the fastest goal he set against Huma FC on August 21 in the second minute. Matin Tariq of Pakistan Army netted a beautiful goal in the first minute against Lyallpur FC. Muslim FC head coach Internatioinal Abdul Qadeer while talking to media told from Chaman that his players are injured and we did not want to take any risk while our best defender Meraj was out of the match due to facing a double yellow card. Therefore, young players were given a chance. Inshallah our players will perform again in the upcoming matches as expected.

Formidable Lyallpur FC, in the second match of the event under the auspices of Pakistan Football Federation and organised by DFA Multan in the flood lit of Qila Kohna Qasim Bagh Football Stadium, set up another big upset when two-time champion Pakistan Army suffered a 2-1 defeat against them. Earlier, their competition with KRL and table topper Pakistan Air Force was drew while they have defeated Karachi United and Sui Northern Gas. Matin Tariq of Pakistan Army had already put Lyallpur FC in trouble by scoring a brilliant goal in the first minute but former national coach and head coach Mohammad Habib of Lyallpur FC, not only prevented the Pakistan Army from scoring more goals with his excellent strategy, but in the 36th minute, Mohammad Sufyan levelled the score to make his team 1-1. Mohammad Sufyan had the 5th goal in the event. The match at break was 1-1. In the second half, the thrilling and fast-paced game played by both the teams was the focus of the fans. However, the Pakistan Army team could not respond to Naeemullah’s goal in the 80th minute and lost 1-2. Lyallpur FC was fourth with 11 points in 6 matches while Pakistan Army got 6 points in 5 matches. He is in the sixth position.

Two matches will be played today (Tuesday). Pakistan Navy will face Karachi United at 8 pm while Sui Northern Gas will meet Pakistan WAPDA at 10 pm.
