National Women Football Championship is the top-level event women’s football tournament in Pakistan, the 1st NWFC was conducted in Islamabad in 2005. In NWFC women clubs, departments and provincial teams compete to earn the title as the champion team for Pakistan.
Initially German Female Coach “Monica Stab” visited all 4 provinces and conducted 7-day training sessions to the team and female coaches before the start of the tournament. She was monumental in organizing the 1st NWFC.
The team that holds the most number of NWFC Titles is “Young Rising Star WFC (Rawalpindi)”, who have won it 5 times. During the 5th NWFC Iranian Club “Malavan FC” was allowed to participate and eventually went on to win the tournament.
12 editions of NWFC have been played till date since the conception of the tournament.
