Waheed’s Brilliant Hat-Trick Helped Southern Gas Beat Huma FC 6-2

PAF overwhelmed Civil Aviation 3-1 despite 0-1 deficit. Southern Gas is in the fifth position with 9 points while Pakistan Air Force is in the first position with 13 points.

In the sixth round played in the 13th Pakistan Premier League, Southern Gas Company easily defeated Huma FC, the weak rival of the event 6-2. Youngand talented international striker Muhammad Waheed performed well and scored 4 goals including a hat trick. He got the fifth hat-trick of the event. Earlier, Mohammad Afzal (Army), Mohammad Jamil (Muslim FC), Ahmed Fahim (WAPDA) and Alamgir Khan (KRL) made it to the list of players who scored hat-tricks.

In the event organized by Pakistan Football Federation and under the supervision of DFA Multan in the flood lit of Qila Kohna Qasim Bagh Football Stadium, Huma FC scored a goal in the sixth minute against strong rival Southern Gas through Muhammad Ibrahim. Captain Saddam Hussain scored a goal for Huma FC in the 16th minute while Mohammad Waheed netted the second goal in the 24th minute to make it 2-1 and Mohammad Tahir scored the third goal for his team in the 40th minute. Waheed’s target went in the right direction once again and at the interval Southern Gas took a 4-1 lead.

In the second half also, the level of Southern Gas decorated with international players remained heavy. In the 87th and 89th minutes, Mohammad Waheed not only completed his hat-trick by scoring 2 goals in a row but also strengthened his team’s lead to 6-1. Maihan Toor Faizi reduced the margin 2-6 in injury time (90+1) . Southern Gas is in the 5th position in 6 matches with 9 points while Huma FC didn’t open their account after playing six matches.

In the second match, Pakistan Air Force made a brilliant comeback despite 0-1 deficit and defeated Pakistan Civil Aviation Karachi 3-1. In the 30th minute, the Civil Aviation team took the first lead through Waleed who scored 1-0 and maintained it till 60th minute. However, in the 61st minute, Mehdi Hassan levelled the score and tied the match 1-1. In just 7 minutes, two more goals were scored by Faisal Ali Yaseen in the 63rd minute and Muhammad Mujahid in the 68th minute 3-1 ahead. The match ended on the same score. Pakistan Air Force got the first position with 13 points in 6 matches on points table while Civil Aviation is in the third position with 10 points in 6 matches.

Today (Monday) 2 interesting and thrilling matches will be played. Defending champions KRL will face Muslim FC Chaman while Lyallpur FC will take on Pakistan Army.
